A beautiful vintage Asian-style jewelry box from the mid-20th century, approximately 1950s–1960s. The box is made of wood with a black lacquered finish and decorated with raised mother-of-pearl / shell inlay depicting elegant female figures in traditional Eastern dress, tropical plants, and hand-painted gold landscape details.

The contrast between the deep black lacquer, shimmering shell inlay, and gold accents gives this piece a classic Hollywood Regency / chinoiserie look. It displays beautifully on a vanity table, dresser, shelf, or in a vintage interior collection.

The front features a decorative brass-tone latch, and the inside is lined with pink fabric. This box is perfect for storing jewelry, small keepsakes, rings, earrings, or as a decorative collectible accent.
